Old Path White Clouds
Plum Village is a rich source of Buddhist teachings and meditation practices, fostering connections among Buddhist communities and those seeking peace and enlightenment. Plum Village partnered with Mytoon to create the 2D animated series Old Path White Clouds, based on the work of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
Path White Clouds project serves as an educational tool and a bridge for the Buddhist community, aiming to present the life and teachings of the Buddha through an accessible and engaging medium. By utilizing 2D animation, this project seeks to spread the Buddha’s values of compassion, wisdom, and peace to audiences worldwide.
Through illustrated 2D animation, Mytoon and Plum Village translated the Buddha’s teachings into authentic, comprehensible, and captivating animated scenes. The characters were inspired by the Buddha and other historical figures from his life. Key stories and anecdotes from The Old Path White Clouds were carefully selected and adapted into compelling scripts. Realistic sound effects and carefully chosen background music were integrated to enhance the emotional resonance and atmosphere of the films.
Characters Design

Settings and Environments: Historical and natural settings were meticulously designed to be authentic and visually engaging.
